Douglas W. Dunn


Mr. Dunn began serving the Oak Hill R-1 School District as superintendent and principal on July 1, 2017. He came to R-1 after four years as elementary principal for the North Pemiscot School District in Wardell, MO. A graduate of Willow Springs High School, he earned a bachelor's degree in Middle School Education from Missouri State University in Springfield. He later completed a master's degree in Elementary and Secondary Administration from William Woods University and a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.

Prior to entering administration, Mr. Dunn spent several years in the classroom teaching math, reading, social studies, and business technology throughout grades 5-12. Mr. Dunn and his wife, Julie, have also spent time as houseparents at a children's home in Cullman, Alabama. Julie is a counselor for the Salem R-80 School District. They reside in Salem and have three daughters.
